It's Heavy Metal Friday, kids.

Vacation days are up.
Summer is nearing it's end, and what a summer it was. It was the summer of one of the best Brutal Assault editions I've had the privilege of witnessing (and I've been a regular atendee since 2009), the summer when I got to see Black Sabbath and Soundgarden play and have my teenage dreams come true. 'Twas a summer of huge new metal albums (Accept, Opeth, Pallbearer, Yob, Panopticon, to name but a few) and, above and beyond, a summer of family, new friendships and bonds created.

So, today, when in my 30ies, I can honestly say I've never felt younger or freer, and I have my friends and heavy metal to thank for that.

With that in mind, I'm honoring this summer and the last day of my vacation with a very special Heavy Metal Friday.

Here's what it's composed of:

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

Sepultura - Chaos A.D.

Accept - Metal Heart

Judas Priest - British Steel (Remastered)

And in the interim, these two babies:

the classic darling Heavy Metal Parking Lot

and Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal

And to wrap things up, I'm attending a very special Keep it True party tonight, dedicated to non other that Mr. Udo Dirkschneider.

And that's all kids. Stay metal, and drink your vitamins.
